HP Laptops in Kenya — The 2026 Line-Up

HP has redrawn its entire laptop range, so it helps to know what replaced what before you buy. On the consumer side, the familiar Spectre, Envy and Pavilion names have been retired and folded into a single HP OmniBook family, tiered from the everyday OmniBook 3 up to the premium omnibook. For business, the structure stays clear and proven. The EliteBook remains HP's flagship, the ProBook sits below it for small and medium businesses that want professional build quality without the premium price, and the ZBook covers mobile workstations for heavy creative and engineering work.

The biggest change, however, is what's inside. Most of the new line-up runs Intel's latest chips, and here the naming matters. Intel Core processors (Core 3, 5 and 7) power mainstream, value-focused models and handle everyday business tasks with ease. Intel Core Ultra processors sit above them and add a dedicated NPU — a neural engine that runs AI features on the device itself. As a result, Core Ultra models with an NPU above 40 TOPS qualify as Copilot+ PCs, unlocking local AI tools in Windows 11 without leaning on the cloud. If your team plans to use AI daily, a Core Ultra machine is the smarter long-term buy.

At the top of the business range is the new HP EliteBook X G2 Series, introduced for 2026 as HP's next-generation premium business laptop built for the AI era. It pairs Core Ultra performance with enterprise-grade HP Wolf Security, which is built into every EliteBook and ProBook as standard for hardware-level threat detection and remote IT management. For organisations rolling out devices across a team, that security and manageability often matters more than raw speed.
